Labor Day and the Reunion

87th IDLA Members:

It is Labor Day 2026 weekend as I write and I hope that all of you are enjoying a restful weekend as our nation pauses to recognize the contributions of the workers who have been and are the real backbone that has driven the United States forward. And I hope you’re also remembering that eighty-two years ago in September, 1944, that the men of the Golden Acorn Division were laboring to successfully complete Preparations for Overseas Movement requirements (POM).
